How a home caregiver helps your loved one thrive in a clean space.

As loved ones age or face health challenges, maintaining a clean and organized living space can become increasingly difficult. That's where our caregivers step in, providing essential support to clients in their homes.

One common question we’re asked is, "Do you do light housekeeping, laundry, and vacuuming?" The short answer? Yes! Our home care workers are trained to tidy up and assist your loved one in keeping a clean and healthy living space.

What does “light housekeeping” or "light cleaning" really mean?

Dusting, vacuuming, and surface cleaning.

We recognize a clean and tidy living space is essential to your loved one’s well-being. Light housekeeping services encompass tasks such as:

  • Dusting
  • Sweeping
  • Vacuuming
  • And surface cleaning.

Caregivers are trained to handle these duties efficiently, ensuring that clients' homes remain free from dirt, allergens, and clutter.

While our workers are not there to deep clean, or provide cleaning services, they are there to aid aging or unwell clients with a space that helps their physical and mental wellbeing.

Does it include laundry?

Staying on top of laundry can be challenging for many of the clients we care for. That's why our home care workers offer assistance with laundry tasks, including:

  • Sorting
  • Washing
  • Drying
  • And folding.

Caregivers follow specific instructions provided by the clients, ensuring that garments are handled with care and laundered according to their preferences. This service helps maintain cleanliness and hygiene while providing clients with fresh and neatly folded clothes.

What about other things, like going to the grocery store?

Our caregivers can use cash, check, or cards to do necessary shopping on behalf of clients.

Caregivers can use a client's credit or debit card; however, they cannot drive your loved one’s cars. Our caregivers are trained to use cards, check, or cash and supply the client with a receipt and report the amount spent or return change when returning from an errand.

An aide for well-being.

Beyond light housekeeping, laundry, vacuuming, errands and transportation, our caregivers offer a range of comprehensive services to enhance the overall well-being of their clients. These services may include:

  • Medication reminders
  • Meal preparation
  • Companionship
  • Personal care assistance (such as bathing, grooming, and dressing)
  • And assistance with mobility and exercises
  • Provide respite time for a primary caregiver to take a break

By providing a holistic approach to care, home care cooperatives aim to address the diverse needs of their clients, promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Our in-home caregivers play a vital role in ensuring that loved ones can age gracefully and maintain their independence within the comfort of their homes. By offering assistance with all the essentials of healthy living, our cooperative provides comprehensive support to clients.
